Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the ePay payment counter — the page a shop sends you to in order to pay. They do not cover what you bought: that is between you and the shop.
1. Who operates this service
The ePay counter is operated by the entity named below. ePay is a technical payment intermediary: it displays the methods available for a shop’s payment, hands the payment to a payment provider, and records the outcome. It does not hold your funds at any point.
ePay is a service of Arise Labs Ventures. These terms cover the payment counter itself; where they are silent, the operator’s corporate terms apply.

2. What the counter does
When a shop sends you to the counter, it shows the shop, the amount and the currency of the payment, and the methods available for it. You pick one, enter only what that method needs, and the payment is executed by the provider behind it.
Your purchase contract is with the shop alone. ePay is not a party to it and makes no promise about the goods or services you are paying for.
3. Why a method may not be offered
The list of methods is not fixed. It is narrowed to those that accept the payment’s currency, that serve the country the payment resolves to, and that the shop has enabled. A method you used before may therefore be absent from a different payment.
4. Refunds, cancellations and disputes
The payment counter cannot refund you. The gateway has no refund facility, and it never holds your money — so there is nothing for it to give back. Every refund, cancellation, partial credit or dispute about an order goes to the shop you paid.
Cancelling a payment on the counter, while it is still waiting for your confirmation, voids the request so that a late approval cannot complete it afterwards. That is not a refund: it only applies to a payment that has not gone through.
Keep the ePay reference shown on your receipt. It is what lets the shop find the payment on their side.
5. What is expected of you
Pay only for orders you recognise, enter a wallet number that is yours, and approve a confirmation request only when its amount and its recipient match what you expect. Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the counter.
6. Availability and liability
The counter depends on payment providers and mobile networks outside our control. It is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and a provider outage can make a payment fail or leave it pending.
To the extent the law allows, the operator’s liability is limited to the correct technical handling of the payment instruction you submitted. It is not liable for the shop’s goods or services, for a refund the shop owes you, or for a loss caused by details you entered incorrectly.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your own jurisdiction.
8. Changes and contact
These terms may change; the version shown when you pay is the one that applies to that payment. For a question about the counter itself, use the contact below — for anything about your order, contact the shop.
